Use a landing page when one pitch fits everyone who arrives. Use a quiz funnel when different visitors need a different pitch, or when they need help deciding. You can also run both, with the quiz sending people to the page.

Five questions below will tell you which one to try first with your own offer.

## How are a quiz funnel and a landing page different?

A landing page makes one argument to everyone on one page. A quiz funnel asks first, then makes the argument that matches the answers.

| | Landing page | Quiz funnel |
|---|---|---|
| Message | One pitch for all | One pitch per outcome |
| Visitor effort | Reading and scrolling | Answering a few questions |
| What you learn | Clicks and sales | Answers, path, score and outcome |
| Email capture | A form, if you add one | Built into the flow |
| Effort to build | One page | Questions plus outcome pages |
| Buyer certainty | The buyer decides alone | The result gives a recommendation |

Neither is better in general. Each has a job.

## Which five questions decide it?

### 1. How many pitches do you have?

List the kinds of people who buy and what would convince each. If it is one pitch for one person, keep the landing page. If you need two or more pitches, your page is doing several jobs at once, and a quiz can split them.

### 2. What do people ask you before they buy?

Read your inbox. If the question is about the product, such as what format it comes in, your page needs better information. If the question is about them, such as whether it is right for a beginner, the visitor needs a diagnosis. A quiz gives them that.

### 3. How warm is the traffic?

Someone who already knows you and wants the product should reach the checkout with no extra step, so send them to the page. A colder visitor from a post, search or an ad may not be ready to read a long page. A question about themselves can be a smaller first step.

### 4. How big is the decision?

A low-priced product bought on impulse needs little help, and a quiz may slow it down. A course or a coaching program asks for more money and time, so the buyer has more doubts to settle. Helping them decide is worth a few extra screens.

### 5. How many products are you selling?

With one product, either format can work. With three or more, a landing page tends to become a catalog, and visitors have to choose alone. A recommender gives them one answer. See [product recommendation quizzes](https://quizzerfy.com/blog/product-recommendation-quiz) for how that works.

## What does your score say?

Add up how your answers lean.

- **Mostly one pitch, warm traffic, small decision:** start with a landing page.
- **Several pitches, colder traffic, bigger decision:** start with a quiz.
- **A mix:** keep your page and add a quiz to it.

## Can you use both?

Yes, and for many creators that is the most practical setup. You already have the sales page, so nothing needs to go.

- **Add a link near the top of your page** that invites unsure visitors to take a quick fit check.
- **Embed the quiz inline or as a popup** so the page keeps its job for ready buyers.
- **Link from the outcome to the page** when a longer pitch helps.
- **Use different links for each source.** Send warm email traffic to the page, and social traffic to the quiz.

Ready buyers go straight to checkout. Unsure ones get help. You also collect emails from people who would have left.

## How do you test it?

Measure the same thing on both: sales or clicks to checkout, not quiz starts. Send a share of similar traffic to each, and give it enough time to mean something. A quiz can gather plenty of leads and still sell less, so judge it on the result you want. Tag each link with UTM parameters so you can see what each one did.

## What should you end up with?

A clear decision for your offer, and a plan to test it. If you decide on a quiz, you do not need to start from nothing. Quizzerfy turns your sales page into a branching quiz: paste the link, and it builds questions, branches, scoring, a lead form and outcome pages for 10 credits. You can try this on the 7-day free trial, with your plan’s full credits and unlimited leads.

Each outcome links to any checkout and keeps your UTM tags, and you can embed the quiz inline, as a popup or as a slide-in. Plans are in the [pricing section](https://quizzerfy.com/#pricing).

## What if you have no landing page yet?

Write one anyway, even a short one. Listing who the product is for, what is inside and what it costs will force you to think through the pitch. That thinking feeds your quiz.

Quizzerfy can generate from a link, but it can also work from a PDF, an EPUB, a Notion export or a few lines of description. So a quiz is possible without a page. Even so, a buyer may want more detail than an outcome page holds, and a landing page gives them somewhere to read it.

If you have time for only one this week, choose by the first question above. With one pitch and one buyer, write the page. With several kinds of buyer, start with the quiz, and link the outcomes straight to checkout. You can add the other later.
